Apple Watch

Tempovi can put today’s session on your Apple Watch as a structured workout: warm-up, drills, the main work blocks and cool-down, each with its own heart-rate or power target.

  1. Open the Daily Coach (tap today’s plan on the home screen).
  2. Scroll to Watch workout. Here you can check the steps, and use Adjust reps or Adjust run to change them.
  3. Tap Send to Watch.
  4. On your watch, open Apple’s Workout app. Today’s session is there, ready to start.

Sending to the Workout app needs iOS 17 or later. Tempovi also sends today’s session to your watch automatically once the plan is ready. When that happens, the screen shows Auto-sent to watch.

In the Daily Coach, switch on Indoor / treadmill before you send the workout. The targets change to pace based on your recent runs, because GPS and outdoor power aren’t available inside. The switch only applies to today’s session.

Tap Route on the home screen, or Plan a route for this in the Daily Coach. Tempovi suggests loops from where you are that match the distance you need. You can prefer trails, choose flat or hilly terrain, or set a destination.

  • Route generation uses openrouteservice, which needs a free key. Add it under Settings › Apple Watch & Routes › Route Generation.
  • Export a route with Export GPX, or send it to your watch with Send to Watch.

By default, runs are recorded by Apple’s Workout app. If you’d like richer coaching on your wrist, switch on Settings › Apple Watch & Routes › Record runs in the Tempovi watch app (beta). The Tempovi watch app adds:

  • Spoken cues, including a 3-2-1 countdown into each rep and alerts when you’re off pace or off route.
  • Turn-by-turn voice navigation on routes. Switch it on with Voice navigation on watch.
  • A map and live stats page (swipe up and down), a controls page (swipe one way: pause, next segment, stop) and a music page (swipe the other way).
  • Indoor mode, which uses the watch’s motion sensor for distance and pace.
  • On Apple Watch Ultra, you can set up the Action button for Next Segment or Pause or Resume Run.

Routes sent from Route always use the Tempovi watch app.

The watch app’s home screen also shows your recent stress, Body Battery, recovery, strain, cardio load, resting heart rate, HRV and VO₂ max trends. If it’s empty, open Tempovi on your iPhone so it can sync.

Routines you’ve set up in Strength appear on the watch, and today’s is marked TODAY. Tap Done after each set. A rest timer runs between sets, with +15 s and Skip. At the end, rate how hard it was and tap Save. The session is saved to Apple Health as a strength workout.

  • Workout didn’t appear on the watch — make sure your iPhone is on iOS 17 or later and the watch is nearby and unlocked, then tap Send to Watch again.
  • Runs recorded on the watch don’t save — this usually means Health access was reset. See After reinstalling the watch app.
